PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & USE

Urethane alkyd-based, have superior properties; bright varnished is a wood protective. Brightness, brightness permanence, elasticity, resistance to impacts, durable to  the  effects of external influence such as rain, sea, sun, not being yellowed with superior features, , on external and internal wood parts of buildings, could be used in to furniture. On wooden parts of marine vehicles, door, window, shutter, garden fence and wood surfaces of furniture, beehives and unpackaged food is hosted in wood, without disturbing the natural look, is used as decorative and protective product.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The application surfaces should be cleaned from the dirt, oil, dust and all loosen structured swollen layers, the faults on the surface should be removed. 

 

APPLICATION

Southwind Varnished Wood Protective is ready to use. It is advised mixing before application. Roll, brush or spraying, using one of method, surface at intervals of 8 hours is applied in two layers. Oil, dirt, resin and powder should be cleaned from surface If necessary, sanding should be done dust should be cleaned. Resins should be wiped with cellulose thinners. It is recommended to feed the wood impregnation 1-2 times to protection raw wood against fungus, mold and timber wolves before applying. It can be applied after 24 hours. Applying temperatures must be above +5 °C. It is ready to use. The product should not be diluted.

 

SPREADING RATE

Depending on the type and absorbency of the wood on single layer, with 1 Liter 11-13 m2 area can be painted. Control samples should be made for certain consumption.

DRYING TIMES

Touch Dry / Hard Dry    1-2 hours / 12 hours.

Recoat      4 hours

This is dependent upon temperature and humidity. 

 

CLEANING UP

Clean up with soap and water. After cleaning up be sure to flush spray equipment with solvent to prevent rusting following manufacturer’s instructions. Dispose of can in accordance with local authority guidelines.

 

PRECAUTIONS / WARNINGS

Keep out of reach of children. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. If the product comes in contact with the eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water. To remove splashes from skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Do not take internally. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Dispose of contents to a waste disposal facility in accordance with local/national regulations. Safety data sheet is available on request.

 

STORAGE

The product should be kept in a dry place. Lid should be closed   tight when not in use. Not to be exposed to direct sunlight. Stock life is 1 year in original container. Protect from freezing.
