COMPOSITION (Nominal)

Pigment: Lightfast pigment

Binder: Alkyd resin

Solvent: White spirit

Volume Solids   68 % ± 5

Specific Gravity   At 20 °C, 1.2 ± 0.05 kg/L

 

SURFACE PREPARATION

Paint and primer applied surfaces, absolutely clean, dry and dust-free should be. Also in the application environment should not be excessive wind and air currents. During the application surface and ambient temperatures must be between +5 ° C to +30 ° C. The surface will be applied have to be cleaned from the old, loose, blistered paint layers. Non-dry surfaces should not be painted absolutely. Surface defects should be corrected by using the appropriate sealant. Depending on surface properties at least one primer layer should be made.

 

APPLICATION

Wood Surfaces: 1 layer Southwind Wood Protective and then  repairs should be made with synthetic pastes, roughness surfaces  and ridges should be sanding. Then, one layer Southwind Synthetic Primer application is made. After applying primer 12 hours is waited . Application with by roll or brush must be waited 24 hours between 2 layer applications with Southwind Synthetic Topcoat Paint
Metal Surfaces :1 layer is applied as a primer Southwind Anticorrosion. Then 1 layer Southwind Synthetic Primer application is made. After appropriate primer application, wait 12 hours. Application by roll or brush, wait 24 hours for 2 layer applications with Southwind Synthetic Top coat Paint. Mix thoroughly the paint before use and paint not to be mixed with another paint brand.

 

SPREADING RATE

At one layer 15 – 20 m² /L area (depending on ground and type of application)

 

REDUCTION

Dilute 10-15% rate with synthetic thinner.

 

DRYING TIMES (SINGLE COAT, STANDARD THICKNESS)

Touch Dry                   At the 20 °C  3 hours

Not Hold Dust                     5 – 7 hours, 

Drying of Hardening         26 hours

This is dependent upon temperature and humidity. 

 

CLEANING UP

Clean up with soap and water. After cleaning up be sure to flush spray equipment with solvent to prevent rusting following manufacturer’s instructions. Dispose of can in accordance with local authority guidelines.

                                

PRECAUTIONS / WARNINGS

Keep out of reach of children. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. If the product comes in contact with the eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water. To remove splashes from skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Do not take internally.

 

STORAGE

 The product should be kept in a dry place. Lid should be closed   tight when not in use. Not to be exposed to direct sunlight. Stock life is 1 year in original container. Protect from freezing.
